I have gambled on millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was still underage. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still spent an abundance of money at 21. The gambling dens have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over the years I have wagered on a type of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This method is based on the fact that vingt-et-un seems to be a match of streaks. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you are not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and do not back out. It gets very enjoyable at times. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had great runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Venetian a couple of years back with $750 after 30 mins using this technique! And a few days ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!

You need to understand that you can give up a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you notice playing this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar game.

Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the initial five dollar bet

Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 10 dollar

Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the first ten dollar wager

Wager 10 dollar
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Wager 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the original 20 dollar bet

Bet 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40

Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 bet

Bet forty dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar

Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 80 dollar bet

Wager $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of $160

Wager $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original one hundred and sixty dollar bet

If you departed at this moment you would be up $315 !!

It is iffy to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and lower your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
